A U.S. Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF) Is Not A Good Idea

The problem with a United States Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF) is that it will put the Federal Government in direct competition with private market participants. Interventionist fiscal policy is not desirable for the U.S. economy. Inflation is here to stay, and the Dollar will further weaken versus gold.
