AAPL CEO Tim Cook does not come cheap.

• AAPL has outperformed the market under Cook, but he is expensive, costing the company $530K in compensation per every 1% of Avg. Annual Total Stock Return.

• AAPL is not well positioned for the future under Cook’s leadership if the company’s tired, overpriced devices are any indication of what the future holds.

• Embedded natural language AI was a big miss. Apple ought to have led the charge in this area in the years before the initial Siri rollout, but chose not to invest heavily in deep learning research.
