AI Demand Is Strong. Yet, It Is Primarily Coming from One Place
The Software Development function is primarily where B2B Gen AI demand is coming from.
Other corporate functions are leveraging LLMs, but it is the Software Engineering (SWE) side that is the growth engine.
Anthropic believes the SWE function will be fully automated within 1-2 years. That comes from both Boris Cherny (claude code creator) and Dario Amodei, Anthropic’s co-founder and CEO.
Thus, chip demand will continue to be strong as Google, Anthropic, OpenAI and Grok battle with each other and also compete with China-based LLM providers - which are far cheaper than U.S.-based frontier LLMs - for LLM supremacy.
