An Intel Turnaround Will Take Years
Walk me through the bull case for INTC 0.00%↑ . New CEO Lip-Bu Tan will need to completely change Intel’s culture if INTC is to have any chance at producing top quality chips and software.
A sweeping culture change will take several years at a minimum. That said, a comprehensive culture change is no guarantee that Intel will produce competitive offerings.
Reducing OpEx is the easy part. Yet, cutting heads to grow EPS won’t produce best-in-class products.
The best people have to want to work at Intel to produce the best products. That means working from the office, long hours and long weeks in support of a mission focused on producing the best performing chips. Any other pursuit would be a waste of time and capital.
