Anthropic's Throttling Is Maddening

Anthropic miscalculated in 2025 as it did not buy enough compute. The CoreWeave (CRWV) deal is too little too late. The throttling is extreme at the moment as Anthropic is clearly prepping the release of Mythos despite what it says publicly.

It will be interesting to see if OpenAI can use its compute advantage to close the coding gap (it’s not a severe gap) between Claude and Codex. My guess is that both Claude Mythos and OpenAI’s “superapp” will arrive in June.

I would love to see Google push Gemini harder as Google has the balance sheet to deliver a best-in-class frontier model sans drama and throttling.
