Boeing: First Dave Calhoun. Next, Terminate The Board.
It is great that Boeing (BA) CEO Dave Calhoun will step down at year-end. We have called for Calhoun to step down since September 2020.
Boeing has been plagued with quality issues for 10 years or more and Calhoun was first a Boeing Board member in 2009 before being named Boeing CEO in January 2020. Where was Calhoun in prior years - especially during the Boeing plane crashes of October 2018 and March 2019?
A credible Board would have never named Calhoun CEO. A credible Board would have terminated Calhoun’s employment effective immediately. Boeing’s Board also needs to be replaced. Accountability starts at the top.
