CEO Compensation Per Unit of Revenue Growth
We measured NASDAQ 100 CEOs in terms of their compensation per unit of revenue growth.
- We used CEO compensation as reported by the respective company in the most recent reporting period.
- We used Revenue CAGR generated during the respective CEO’s tenure.
- We divided number 1 by number 2 to arrive at a figure that represents the CEO compensation cost per percentage point of Revenue CAGR.
- For example, Tesla (TSLA) CEO Elon Musk was paid $0 in the most recent period. TSLA has generated a 68% Revenue CAGR during Musk’s CEO tenure (#2 Revenue CAGR among NASDAQ 100 CEOs), therefore Musk was paid $0 per percentage point of Revenue CAGR.
