CPI Will Be Stubborn at 3%

Headline CPI was up 0.1% month-to-month in November while Core CPI was unchanged. The Fed will likely stand pat tomorrow. Inflation will be stubborn at this 3% level. The Fed will likely be satisfied with long-term CPI at around 3% and will choose not to pursue a 2% CPI target for fear of crushing the economy.
