I Like META's Acquisition of Manus
I like the Manus acquisition for META.
I’ve used Manus, although lightly. I do not like using autonomous AI Agents to write code as they burn through tokens, thereby driving expense. Some people take pride in the amount of tokens they blow through each month. Not me. I prefer to use LLMs to help me write one file at a time.
It seems that Zuckerberg and China are intertwined.
META is reportedly paying more than $2 billion for Manus.
Manus (private) crossed the $100 million ARR mark only eight months after launch and now has a revenue run rate north of $125 million.
More M&A likely. My guess is that Zuckerberg and META will continue to acquire their way into the Gen AI space.
