Disney CEO Bob Iger signed a deal so that consumers may use OpenAI ‘s Sora to create short-form videos that include a selection of 200 Disney (DIS) characters. Some of these videos may land on Disney+.
Iger has effectively democratized movie production, enabling millions of people to create Disney content, which ought to create viewership pull for Disney+, enabling Disney+ to grow Ad Revenue and Subscription revenue.
YouTube (GOOGL), Instagram (META) and TikTok are the dominant content players with approximately 2.7 billion, 3 billion and 2 billion monthly active users (MAUs) respectively, not Disney+ / Hulu, ESPN, Netflix (NFLX), Apple TV (AAPL), Paramount+ (PSKY), Peacock (CMCSA), or Amazon Prime (AMZN).
