LLM Adoption Among White-Collar Workers Beyond Software Engineers: Current State
The below LLM adoption paper was built from an exchange I had with Kilby this morning:
LLM Adoption Among White-Collar Workers Beyond Software Engineers: Current State
The punchline is the Agentic AI adoption referenced on pages 3 and 7. If agentic adoption happens at scale, inference usage will drive token consumption that ought to provide the next leg of growth for the LLM builders, the chip companies, and companies building AI harnesses like Kilby.
What you won't find in the paper and may be the subject of the next paper is my belief that employees will increase their functional scope as AI automates tasks. The Marketing person who now writes copy and designs the article header image. The Software Engineer who does product design, front-end and back-end development. The Corporate Finance person who spans AP and AR. The Enterprise Sales person who can build a feature while on site with a customer.
