I wrote several weeks ago that if PSKY’s David Ellison truly wanted Warner Bros (WBD), dad Larry Ellison would make it happen. Ellison Sr. will overpay, he’ll litigate, he’ll leverage Trump Admin relationships, whatever it takes. Hopefully the Netflix (NFLX) team is well-versed in Oracle’s Dec. 2004 acquisition of PeopleSoft, which was a masterclass in hostile acquisitions. Those that were in the business back in the early 2000’s will remember it well. The numbers were smaller, but the process is the same.
