Meta (META) Chief AI Scientist Yann LeCun Plans To Exit
The FT, Reuters and others reported this news earlier today. LeCun is the one AI exec who has his head screwed on straight regarding LLMs - which is why Zuckerberg asked him to leave.
LeCun is not bullish enough for Zuckerberg’s liking. LeCun is on record stating that LLMs alone simply won’t get us to the “AGI / Superintelligence” that the AI promoters dance on about. LeCun’s exit is not a surprise as his public, sober takes on AI are not aligned with what Mark Zuckerberg is selling.
