META - What Am I Missing?
META is up 30% over the past month which doesn’t make sense to me.
META has failed at crypto, has failed at the metaverse, and will fail at building a frontier LLM. META does not have an AI-first culture. That’s the main reason why META will fail at building a leading frontier LLM. Further, China just blocked META’s acquisition of Manus.
I wish Zuckerberg stuck to the original plan of focusing on opensource LLMs, that plan had merit.
If META hadn’t cut heads last week, I would say the stock would be off 30% tomorrow, but the RIF may buy META some air cover. I can’t imagine that the Ad outlook will be strong.
