Not So Simple...
The problem with “starting one’s engines”, is a number of oil producers do not wish to travel the Strait ever again. Further, many insurers will never underwrite the area again, which means specialty insurers will be required to underwrite, which means premiums will be 400-500% higher. Not to mention who knows how badly oil production was damaged, or how long it will take to sweep the Strait for mines. So, even if the below is true, we are not going back to “normal” in the Strait, a “new normal” exists.
