OpenAI: Say No Go
Back on August 6th we wrote about how only two of OpenAI’s eleven co-founders remain with the company. OpenAI continues to bleed senior executives, losing its CTO and Chief Research Officer last night.
Last night OpenAI lost its CTO Mira Murati, who also served as interim CEO during the Sam Altman drama last November (see Murati’s note below). Murati led the charge on GPT 4o.
In addition, Chief Research Officer Bob McGrew resigned. See their notes below.
In the meantime, OpenAI is working to raise capital, some say at a $150 billion valuation (very rich), but that could have been a number that OpenAI leaked. Further, OpenAI is working to become a for-profit company, which will allocate a chunk of equity to co-founder and CEO Sam Altman.
