Oracle's Path To $100 Billion in Revs: M&A
Which companies is Oracle most likely to acquire to reach its $100 Billion Revenue bogey by FY’29?
Marc Benioff will likely sell the firm he founded - Salesforce (CRM) - to Oracle (ORCL) before 2029 just as Tom Siebel exited to Oracle (also his former employer) back in September 2005 for $6 billion (Siebel and Ellison always battled for who held the longest EPS calls). Siebel was Oracle’s top Salesman before departing to start Siebel Systems, a pre-cloud/on-prem CRM and Analytics company.
If Oracle gets sustained Revenue traction from its Gen AI / LLM partnership with Cohere (private), it will move to acquire Cohere.
Outside of Cerner, I am not sure if there is a Healthcare IT company of size that Oracle could acquire without getting pushback from Lina Khan’s FTC. Otherwise, Epic (private) would make sense.
