PPI numbers show that price inflation is alive and well. This is a typical stagflationary economy where prices are elevated, Government and Consumer debt is high, and demand is muted. This was all avoidable, but Trump, Mnuchin, Powell, Biden and Yellen all felt the need to artificially stimulate the economy with outrageous fiscal spending levels and record new money printing. It is only logical that price inflation would linger for years.
