Swap The Income Tax for A Consumption Tax and Privatize America
Would you forgo social security, medicare, medicaid and other entitlement benefits in exchange for not having to pay a state or Federal income tax?
There is zero doubt that the U.S. Dollar will eventually go to zero (as all other fiat currencies have), if the Federal Government continues to pay out $0.62 of every $1.00 spent on entitlements (I include Public healthcare, Public schooling, and other Public services in the $0.62 entitlement calculation).
Get rid of all public services except the military (I would privatize much of the military procurement process while we are on the subject of the military).
Privatize schooling;
Privatize healthcare;
Privatize transportation;
Privatize university;
Privatize infrastructure
Levy a 7% Consumption tax on citizens and corporations, which ought to generate approximately $2 trillion with which to run the Federal Government (7% as applied to $27 trillion in 2023 GDP). Perhaps even this figure is too generous.
This Federal Government starvation diet is the prescription for a strong Dollar, price stability, a thriving middle class and economic prosperity.
