Questions for Dario Amodei on Anthropic's IPO
The regulatory capture effort by the U.S. and Anthropic is easily the biggest story in Tech over the past decade.
Government as AI gatekeeper along with the hyperscalers as policy enforcers is a huge problem for AI progress. This is easily the biggest story in Tech over the past decade.
Questions for Dario on the Anthropic IPO:
“How does having to comply with Government-imposed AI gateways (enforced by the hyperscalers), not hurt Anthropic’s ability to innovate?”
“How will Anthropic remain one step ahead of the Chinese AI research labs when they have no such local regulatory constraints?”
“Did Anthropic run toward regulation to effectively try to get opensource models regulated in the U.S., thereby harming your competition and limiting customer choice?”
“Do you worry that Anthropic’s multi-national customers will simply lease or buy Chinese opensource models in Western Europe or Canada and run their innovation centers outside of the U.S., thereby circumventing regulation and leading to a U.S. brain drain?”
