Software Earnings Expectations
Revenue: My sense is that revenue will come in at the low-end of the range or a bit light for most Software companies. This applies to both September quarter results and December quarter revenue guidance. Sentiment is not great amongst Software salespeople.
Earnings: Earnings will likely be more robust than Revenue as companies have pulled back on hiring since the Spring. I do not see hiring picking up for the remainder of this calendar year or early next year. Something would have to change for hiring to pick-up. I do not believe that a Fed rate cut will do it, especially with the 10YR above 4%.
