Stocks That AI Will Take to Zero
A partial list of companies that don't know they are dead
Adobe (ADBE): Chrome does much (80-90%) of what Acrobat does. Gemini is doing more and more of what Adobe creative cloud does, not to mention Figma and the what seems like ten thousand AI startups in the media space. Showing ADBE CEO the door was one step in the right direction, but ADBE will have to cannibalize itself if it wants to survive. Does the Board have the will power to cut off its right arm?
CCC (CCIS): Decision support around collision repair and TCO belongs to YouTube and AI (I practically did a full auto rebuild in 2025 using OpenAI and Anthropic. The last thing I wanted was data & workflow from CCC, Mitchell/Enlyte (private) or Solera (private).
H & R Block Inc. (HRB): I am surprised HRB has a market cap north of $100 million, never mind $3 billion-plus.
Intuit (INTU): I realize that INTU is more than TurboTax, but give me a break. Has INTU pushed for legislation banning the use of AI for tax prep or pushed for IRS audits of people and companies that use AI for tax prep? If not, that day is coming.
Workday (WDAY): I could pick on any HRMS company or ERP company for that matter. It’s just that Workday is a bit arrogant for my liking and will eventually be hollowed out.
