TEK2day, YouTube & Google Search
TEK2day will continue to publish video content on this Substack page as well as to Twitter. I am not sure how much longer TEK2day will post to YouTube as Google is not content creator-friendly.
Google dinged TEK2day’s YouTube page for a copyright violation as we published Eric Schmidt’s talk at Stanford University (below).
TEK2day will push back on Google’s copyright violation as 17% of Stanford’s funding comes from Federal grants. So long as “we the people” fund such a large chunk of Stanford’s operations “their” video content ought to be for public consumption - even video content where large Stanford donor Eric Schmidt inserted his foot firmly in his mouth by insulting the company that gave him a net worth with nine zeros.
TEK2day’s YouTube channel may not exist in a few weeks. Oh well. If Google does not get its shit together with its Gemini family of LLMs, it will permanently lose a chunk of its search business to OpenAI and possibly Anthropic. Google has lost a chunk of my search activity to OpenAI’s 4o mini model. I am not alone in moving away from Google Search.
