The Consumer Continues To Soften
The consumer continues to soften as per the four charts below from BofA’s December quarter earnings call on Friday. Our comments are in red on each chart. Our view is that the economy will continue to soften assuming the absence of fiscal “stimulus” checks mailed to Americans and assuming that the Fed will not return to ZIRP and QE.
