The Next Steve Jobs?
When Apple (ticker: AAPL) CEO Tim Cook takes the stage tonight at 8pm ET, recognize that there would be no Apple without co-founder Steve Jobs.
There would be no iPhone…
There would be no Mac product line…
There would be no Apple Watch…
There would be no Apple Services…
There would be no new HQ building…
There would be no VisionPro headset.
There would be no Apple whatsoever were it not for Steve Jobs. Why do I say this? Well, it is easy to predict Apple’s eventual decline given that low interest rates have done more to help AAPL shares over the past 10+ years than has product innovation or anything that Tim Cook has championed. Given that Tim Cook’s likely successor is Tim Cook clone Jeff Williams, it is only a matter of time before Apple ceases to innovate. Heck, when was the last big iPhone unit sales quarter?
Who in Tech thinks Apple products are “cool”? Apple is the phone manufacturer for grandmothers. There is nothing cool about Apple products (although I like the potential of Apple’s VR headset VisionPro).
As for who may be the next Steve Jobs, it isn’t Elon Musk. He bullied his way into Tesla (ticker: TSLA) and is not a “founder” as he says he is. Jeff Bezos should never be confused with Steve Jobs.
The closest thing I’ve seen to Steve Jobs is Nvidia (ticker: NVDA), co-founder and CEO Jensen Huang.
