Tim Cook Failed to Cook New Products
CEO-in-waiting John Ternus is a Product exec., the expertise every Tech firm needs in the CEO chair.
I’ve never understood AAPL post Steve Jobs. What do people see or admire? Second-rate, over-priced products and services? Closed systems? A gaping hole where AI should be?
Tim Cook was at best a caretaker CEO. Cook’s incremental approach to modifying the iPhone, a lack of new product categories, and a complete whiff on AI were the hallmarks of Cook’s CEO tenure.
Opportunity cost: Had the right person been in AAPL’s CEO seat for the past 15 years, who knows where the company and the stock may be now?
AAPL shares benefitted from ultra-easy fiscal and monetary policy since 2020, not Cook’s CEO prowess. AAPL shares took off with the advent of ultra-easy fiscal and monetary policy. Keep the credit and equity markets afloat at all costs - damn the Dollar! That’s the mantra of Treasury and the Fed (the Fed of course is Treasury’s banker).
Apple (AAPL) CEO-in-waiting John Ternus is a Product exec. Every Technology company needs a Product exec as CEO.
