What AI Companies Don't Get About Agentic AI
Agentic AI companies such as OpenAI, Anthropic and Google need to productize AI Agents in order to drive wide adoption across business users and consumers.
Sure, OpenAI, Microsoft (MSFT), Google (GOOGL) and Anthropic will have success in deploying AI Agents to write code, thereby generating operating efficiency on the R&D/Product Development line both internally as well as for Software company customers.
However, for OpenAI, Google, Microsoft, Salesforce, etc. to drive AI Agent adoption beyond the “power user”, they will have to fully productize Agentic AI. At present Agentic AI is an automation tool, not a product. The average business user and consumer isn’t about to spend time setting up a series of business rules to automate complex tasks. Simple tasks? Yes maybe, depending upon the user. But Robotic Process Automation already does that and hasn’t exactly taken the world by storm.
